Most of the devs use Chrome as their main development browser and RokGallery extensively but we haven't seen this issue happening at all so far. It looks like the PHP or the Apache server are for some reasons truncating the response, although I'm not sure yet of why.
Do you have a development environment you can try replicating this on? Maybe install a Joomla! instance on a closed url and try installing RokGallery to see if this happens again?
Also, is your site running with a .htaccess behind the scenes? If yes, could you paste it here?

I have the error in all 4 main browsers. And I have enabled errors to be shown at php level, because I need it. I see that the pictures are uploaded fine when I reload the page. I am on a Windows Apache server.

Djamil Legato - if you PM me with your IP I will give you access to a dev site (a copy of a big site) where you can see the error and freely try to fix it.

No, I'm not sure why it's truncating that response on your server. Did you read my message above?

When you say another domain, do you mean a different server? Because if the machine is the same it might not be a good candidate to test on.

Re: Invalid JSON response

Hi guys, I have the same error.

I have a problem with the component rock gallery, i need to upload more than 4k photography in a internet site. I have tryed it on 2 servers, on the first i have the 5.2.17 and, on the second the 5.3.3 versions of PhP, Pdo drivers and all the system requirment that rockgallery needs.

I have upload the first time 100 photo (cause is the max n° i can upload), than i tryed to upload 100 more photo but i have this error " Invalid JSON response"

Any idea?

The firs server is a cloud server and for this problem I have request the provisioning for 2 core (from 1 core) and 3 G RAM (from 1 RAM), because I thought it was a problem of server performance, but nothing has changed.

Hi StellaF...... your php version is 5.2.1, but RokGallery minimum required version 5.2.8.

I have tried both version 5.2.17 RokGallery is on 5.3.3, and the problem occurs in both, if I do I upload lots of pictures, the system replies with Invalid JSON response
