joomla 1.5 or 1.6 .now ? this is the question

Hi.
I'm a developer of joomla .
I have one important question.
I must be two new joomla web page now and i have one dilema. Joomla 1.5 or 1.6.?
1.5 is a stable version with alot of extensions (and rocketlauncher, one guide very important for me) but in the future desapear ( time?)
1.6 is a new version, more powerfull, new, but less extensions (and not rocketlauncher), and his future is great.
Now is transition time but i need to build webs today , i can't wait?

Personally I believe that migrating to 1.7 from 1.5 will be easier than dealing with the uncertainty of building and/or managing 1.6 a site which will also have to be upgraded to 1.7 in the very near future.
