sorry that is not possible (with just those two rules).
Gantry is based on the 960px grid system.

- With Joomla 1.5, I can enlarge the width of the layout, in components> com_gantry> css> gantry.css> Grid Container * / rt-container. body {margin: 0 auto; width: 960px;} {min-width: 960px ;} ", width in px change. How it works now in the Joomla 1.6? in the Components folder no exists Gantry.css ?

ahhh
they are in
/libraries/gantry/css
But NEVER change something in the gantry folder.
You will loose all changes with the next gantry-update
Use CSS specificity

And just to say it here: your code won't really work in 1.5 or 1.6.
You need also to change all grid-classes.
Tho it's not for 1.5 (but it's almost the same for 1.6) this may help.
