    • What are you using to show the article? just normal single article menu item? i.e. "page content" particle? If so you would need to create a joomla html override for the article - see joomla docs for that. But... there should only ever be one h1 tag on a page. That is why the h1 tag is associated with the "page title" field on the menu item "display options" tab. Article titles are normally h2 because there can be more than one shown on a page.

    • I have a site named ferieboligeritalien.dk where all the pages under each menu are a single article.
      The site is a Fleunt joomla template.

      Please tell me an easy way to make the H1 visible to SEO? My SEO tool can not find the H1 tags.

      I have put h1 tags in every article text headline. That did not help.

      i have looked for every other solution, but it does not solve it. I have several other sites, with similar problem. i have tried to tweek settings in controlpanel.

      i truely dont understand why this is not taken into consideration from start.

      thank you so much in advance.

      take care everybody.

      Poul

    • Poul Jensen - You haven't provided any login details so I can't check your site. You should only have one h1 tag on a page. All particle titles, module titles, and article titles will be h2 tag (because there can be more than one on a page).

      Now, in the specific example, I need to know how you are showing the article? component output? particle output?

      Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.

      Regards, Mark.

    • So, I checked your site and the H1 tags that you added are showing in the rendered page. So, if you SEO tool can't find them then that says more about your SEO tool than your site. See screenshot. Do you have a link to this SEO tool? If you are using tools suich as google webmaster did you ask them to rescrape your site first?

      Regards, Mark.

    • Clearly you can see that your H1 tags are in the rendered page. I think the issue here is that you are stuffing them with other html tags and inline CSS styling

      For example on you contact page you have this as your H1 tag:
      <h1 style="margin-top: 0;">
          <span style="color: #0000ff; margin-top: 0px;">
              <span style="vertical-align: inherit;">
                  <span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Kontakt til ferieboligeritalien.dk</span>
              </span>
          </span>
      </h1>

      When really it should be:
      <h1 class="myh1tagstyle">Kontakt til ferieboligeritalien.dk</h1>

      Then you obviously need to style the "myh1tagstyle" class in your custom CSS file.

      All the "free" checkers are pretty poor at reading the html correctly and giving accurate results.

      Rather than buying tools I'd recommend that you engage the services of a professional SEO optimisation company.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Hi Mark,

      i have changed the h1 line, and have cleaned it a bit, regarding the rest of the page.
      <div class="text-center">
      <h1>Ferieboliger Sorrento- og Amalfikysten - kun et udvalg</h1>
      </div>
      <div class="columns-3 grid">
      <div class="col-lg-4">
      <h2>Casa Rosae Apt. no. 1</h2>
      <h3>Ravello / Amalfi</h3>

      I have seperated the h1 line to be seperate from the rest.
      that works, i guess..

      thank you in advance.
