    • Hello, please, help me, probably my Joomla site was hacked, someone add malicius code into it. If you try to go to my site ( www.alkimiasistemas.com ), Google block it, and show a warning message. I am in the black list. Do you know what can I do?.

      I attach a screen capture.

      Thank you,

    • You will need to check your files and folders and remove the hack. Once you are sure that you have done this you can ask google to rescan your site and remove the blacklisting.

In order to prevent hacks you should always maintain your site and current software versions i(i.e. jhoomla, gantry, template, extensions). Also, you should use a good security product such as Akeeba Admin Tools Pro or RSFirewall to prevents hacks in the first place.

Also, I presume that you have a backup of your site that you can restore to prior to the hack occurring (e.g. Akeeba backup).

      Regards, Mark.

    • There is no "silver bullet" tool that can do this. There are several "service" companies on the internet (e.g. sucuri.net) that can repair hacked joomla sites but they can cost a lot of money. Really you need to look for the hack (most commonly in the index.php of the template) and remove it (compare to original source files). Another thing worth a try is installing Gantry again and template again as this process will overwrite the files with authentic code).

Hacks are difficult to locate and difficult to clean (especially if you don't have experience) and can take hours to clear up.

This is why you should make regular backups and install a good security product.

      Regards, Mark.
