Hi All,
I am a big fan of Joomla, currently using v.1.5 with the Hyperion for my website. Through research, I have found two aspects that I would very much like to include into my website - Media Share Suite. This is a non Joomla related software that acts in a way YouTube does, with the added benefit of allowing users to upload pictures and music as well all integrated onto one site. However, Media Share Suite do not allow for this to be built into an existing site.
On that note, I have found the Joomla SEYRET capability which offers effectively the same thing; however due to me using Native, this currently wouldn't work because of it only being able to run with Legecy. I therefore would like to know if anyone has any ideas of how I can use something effectively like Media Share Suite integrated into my site offering Picture/Music and Video uploads without the need for my users to have to go to multiple sites (as would be the case with Media Share Suite).
I hope to hear from anyone soon regarding this!

For video upload there is seyret, and hwdmediashare
extensions.joomla.org/index.php?option=c...at_id=1934&Itemid=35
. I believe hwdmediashare is native, but not so stable. Why do you say you can't run on legacy? you just don't want to, or don't know how? under plugins you can make your 1.5 native site to run legacy so you can run native & legacy extensions.

To be honest, you are right, I do not entirely know how to run it in legacy.. is there any simple-ish way for me to do that?
Having looked at HWMedia Share, I do like it very much and if I could get my Joomla to run in legecy, which would you recommend... Seyret or HwMedia Share?

More or less they do have same features, however HWD comes with:
- better support
- cheaper
- FFMPEG support (cron jobs to convert uploaded videos)
- cleaner and easier templates' code
- videos, photos, groups, ads all-in-one application
- many new features upcoming (rss playlists among these!)
