Hello!
Mynxx (Virtuemart) or Magneto(Mynxx), thats the question. What do you think is the better system for an shop with round about 1000 articles?
Is Mynxx with the Joomla 1.5.24 and Virtuemart 'old school'?
Is Magneto 'state of art'?
I tried an installation Mynxx (Joom 1.5.xx) with Virtuemart. Everything is fine but not state of art. The shop has an typical old school design. ...
I tried the free RT-Magento installation for two times with no success. I don´t know why.
I tried an blank Magento installation with success, but without enough time to check it completly. An german developer told me that you need 6 month to check it out. Its an big system with everything you need but the CMS part seems to be small. I need an full shop-system including an CMS.
I´m waiting for an fine template with the new Virtuemart.
I´m still looking for another solution and my client give me the time.
You would only need 6 months with Magento if you were planning on becoming a Magento developer. If you install with one of our RocketLaunchers, you can easily look through the sample data and see how the products and categories are set up. Then you just need to read up on a few things like payment methods etc, but once you have those sorted you're ready to go. It's really not so hard to launch a store with Magento, everything is already there that you need. Just be sure to use good hosting (not GoDaddy!). That's when most problems arise.
