I need some advice. I have a J 1.5 Web site for a client that uses two templates. I'm getting ready to move to J 2.5, but before I make the move, I'd like some advice from people with more experience with Joomla than I have. I have built probably 20 sites using J 1.5. As I say, the site I've got now uses two templates for, basically, two sections. One main section, and what could be called a stand-alone section which deals with a completely different subject than the main Web site.
So...should I continued to use 2 templates on the J 2.5 site, or build the stand-alone section as what would amount to a separate site in a folder of the main site. It's not possible to build the second site on a separate domain as a result of my client's contract with the funding source, a state agency.
Prompting this move was my client's request for some major updates to the separate section. I'd appreciate any suggestions before I move along.
