A username and password are being requested by
artoutlet.org/
. The site says: "Access for /logs"
Well, that is embarrassing . I googled the problem and it looks like it does have to do with the logs folder and the htaccess file. I just haven't figured out yet how to resolve it....

Nops, my var $host, var $user, and var $db are different. I did build the joomla site for caribbeana.org, though. So far I haven't had any issues. My trouble started when I rebuilt my artoutlet.org site and wanted to move it. I don't understand why?
Hmmm, I did notice that the ftp values are the same for
var $ftp_host. But that probably makes sense since they are both hosted on 1and1.com under two different accounts.
Google posts told me it had to do with the htaccess file and logs folder. I checked both on both accounts but could not detect anything...
ah the magic word 1and1.com there not the greatest for joomla set up
that why i moved away from there and got my own server
1.check both .htaccess and see if there some URl mention to other one.
2 contact them cough for support.

They might have something coded into the apache config for your sites log and other files.
Can you see the apache config files? Otherwise you will need them to reconfig this for you.

Pierre.
I simply removed the logs folder from the root directory and it fixed the problem. Will that give me issues down the road not having the logs folder in there?
