Kunena Forum components with Solarsentinel

    • Hi

Trying to upload a forum to www.ukfisherman.com

I originally tried Agora which installed OK but displays incorrectly at:

      www.ukfisherman.com/forum/forum-new.html

I then tried Kunena which basically installed ok but caused all the content areas on the website (apart from the header) to be obscured by a grey rectangle.

I just tried installing ccboard which isntalled and displays Ok, but which is my last choice for the forum.

Any thoughts why the first two forums won't display correctly? Conflicts with the template, other components etc

      cheers

      Paul

    • Did you install Agora 3.0.13 ? And the ccBoard looks good, just needs some style edits and would match great.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled Kunena and all now seems OK.

      Weird but all now OK

      Thanks

    • Thanks Aaron

Ok, so Kunena installed fine bit am having a few problems. I had to uninstall rokcandy from the site as it was interfering with the text editor used to make posts.

Having done so, the editor mostly works but there are various check boxes that are not displaying on the site *such as delete avatar check box", "click here to receive email notification of new posts", "select icon check box" etc

These work absolutely fine with other (non RT) templates.

      Any ideas?

      Cheers

      Paul

    • hi paul,

which version of joomla, solarsentinel and kunena are you using?
are you using a kunena template as well?

i would like to see if i can replicate your issue to find out what is causing this problem.

    • Hi Kat

      thanks for taking a look:

      Joomla: 1.5.17
      kunena: 1.5.11
      Kunena template: default

I had to disable rokcandy too as this was interefering with the editor used to add posts.,

      cheers

      Paul

    • hi paul,

i just installed kunena 1.5.11 on a solarsentinel rocketlauncher install.
joomla is 1.5.17 and solarsentinel is 1.5.6

i can post replies to existing threads and also create new threads without having to disable rokcandy.

the checkboxes such as the one to delete an avatar show fine and work fine as well.

maybe i am not looking in the right place? i am not very familiar with kunena, but sure would like to help out if i can.

      thanks, kat :)

    • hi again paul,

you mentioned "click here to receive email notification of new posts".
does this need to be enabled anywhere? i dont see an option for this, also not when using rhuk_milkyway.

      kat :)
