    • Hi all!

I am just curious to know which Virus Scanners and Firewalls you guys can recommend?
(Should work with Vista Home Premium 32-bit :-[)

Thank you all for your answers!
      Greetings, Kat

    • For free one, I use Avast Home Edition.
Works with my Vista 64 bit. It will work with 32 bit too for sure

    • Symantec sucks, it gives too many false positives.

On my XP box i use Comodo Firewall and NOD32 Antivirus. Btw, Zonealarm is also an okay'ish firewall Kat05 :P

    • I have to disagree, we use it on 7000+ computers no problem at all, this type of stuff is matter of opinion.

    • Yes, i agree that is VERY good for big corporations and it has nice administration. But for my use it's no good to be honest. If you have an EXE that is using "signatures" used by copyprotections, debuggers, viruses and so on then symantec and most others will warn you and the automatically delete it or put it in quarantine. Also, i don't think that the malware detection is good enough...

If they fixed these issues they'd have a "killer-app" :)

    • Hi Arifin, Peter, Prim!

Thanks a lot for your fast answers.
I am hoping to find a Virus Scanner with Firewall that is easy to set up and doesnt require a lot of pc knowledge.
Apart from Joomla and Adobe Products I am really really a dummy.

Ok, just had this threat coming up through AVG. See screenshot.
My problem is, I never know what is really a threat and what isnt.
      How the h#4^ can I know?? ???

      HELP! Kat
