Top menu not displayed correctly - fix by Beto C

    • I was having issues with the top menu not displaying as in the demo but with a ordinary looking font style. I was contacted by Beto C who had worked out the problem. So full credit for this fix goes to him, And he get my THANKS for fixing an annoying menu display problem.

      Beto C
Actually, i think i saw a bug on the installation of the theme. Open your rt_grunge_j15-bundle.tar.gz file. Notice that there is a "fonts" folder. Go to your web server and check if there is a "fonts" folder. I believe there is no "fonts" folder uploaded. The fonts folder contains the BEBAS font files that is embeded on the theme. Since there are no such files on the your grunge template folder, substitute files are used.

To sum up, manually upload the "fonts" folder from rt_grunge_j15.tar.gz to the grunge template directory on your web server. If this resolves your issues on the top menu, please notify Sean of Rockettheme so that they can include that on future changes of the template, as well as to help others, resolve that issue.

    • Hi Timothy,

There should be a directory right in the template called fonts. In there it should have the bebas font which was used in the top menu.

      Cheers

    • Because I have the menu font installed on my desktop computer, I didn't realize the Bebas font was missing until I looked at my website on my laptop, I looked in the template directory on my server and it's not in there. How do I install the fonts I need? I've tried uploading the fonts folder to my server manually, but that didn't work.

      Thanks.

    • Hello,

The font itself should be in the template directory under fonts.

      Cheers

    • I've looked in the template directory, but it's not there. I manually installed a fonts folder in /public_html/templates/rt_grunge_j15, uploaded the fonts that are in the sources folder to that folder, but it doesn't work, The menu is still plain. Where should I look for a fonts folder on my server or where should I upload it?

    • I had to unzip the installation file (tar.gz) using WinZipm, found the fonts folder and uploaded it to my server. Problem solved!
