    Grunge Blog Date Issue

    Posted 14 years 7 months ago

      I'm having problems duplicating the header "date" for blog post entries. Notice the template has them on top and the image is stylized but on my site the "date" appears to the left and isn't formatted with the "tape" type of style on the template.

      I've zero'd in using inspector but still don't know how to duplicate the effect, whether it goes in the article body itself, or because I don't have a default for the article set right.

      <span class="createdate">20.04.10</span>

      Any help would be much appreciated.

    • Haven't received a reply here, would appreciate any help. I am a subscriber here even though its a "free" template. I'm trying to recreate the look and feel of the articles on the front page.

      I'd like the torn paper look for the post dates of the article but I've been unable to duplicate to date. I've tried the sample code provided in reply to another answer but that didn't work so I'm not for sure if it's a style issue that needs to be set in the body of a post, or there's something somewhere else that either isn't turned on or a CSS issue, etc.

      Again, any assistance would be much appreciated...see the template v. my site...

      Thanks.

    • Hi,

      I am not champ as far as scripts are concerned but checking the source on your site and comparing it to mine I found that you use some other css classes when it comes to dates. You have something like:
      <span class="rt-date-posted">
      Posted on<span>Aug 24, 2010</span>

      while on my Grunge page where the content date is I have:
      <div class="contentdate" >
      <span class="createdate">06.04.2008</span>
      <div class="rt-article-content">

      so to me it looks that you have messed something when installing the template. If I were you I would make a clean install of the latest Joomla, then install Grunge together with Gantry.

      regards,
      Jacek
