    JavaScript Seems To Not Be Working

    Posted 12 years 4 months ago
    • I can't seem to figure this out but it seems like the JavaScript in this template is not working for me. I don't believe I did anything wrong when setting it up. I used the 2.5 Rocket Launcher. For example you can scroll to the bottom and click on "Scroll To Top" and it doesn't slide up like its supposed to it just instantly jumps to the top.

      Please help.

      Thank you.

    • I would start by disabling RoKBooster ...

    • Tried that, doesn't seem to be what's causing the problem. Its disable now if you want to take a look.

    • Can you try to add this to head-tag of the index.php of your template?

      <?php JHtml::_('behavior.framework', true); ?>

    • Yes, it is working since I added that line, but why does it need it? It makes me think that there is a problem that we are just working around....

      Anyway, I'm glad its working, thank you. :)

    • Probably you are using an older version of an extension/framework/template that doesn't reflect changes that came with joomla 2.5.8.

      Since that version you need to tell if Joomla should load mootools-more.js or not.
      Typically this should be triggered by the extensions you are using but you can also force to load it via the index.php.

    • Okay, so there's no harm done? I downloaded the most recent version of Quasar from the Rocket Theme website and I upgraded to the latest version of Gantry. I guess that means that Quasar isn't compatible with the latest version of Joomla 2.5???

    • I guess only the features that use animation-effects of mootools-more.js like the "to top" scroller have issues. Right now I can't see why it should be bad right now to load it yourself.
      But I will set up a ticket for this.
