SOLVED Afterburner2 RocketLauncher 3.0 fail

    • Hi

My server seems to have all the requires features, but I cannot install the J!3.0 RocketLauncher package for the free Afterburner 2 theme. The install process finds the database and seems to accept it as valid, but then it fails during the Install screen. The progress meter for "Creating Database Tables" starts, then quits out suddenly with no error, returning me to the previous step 3 - Overview page.

Any ideas why? It seems must create the database ahead of time, which I have done using my host's admin panel. I have tried two databases, both with the same result.

      Thanks

    • BTW I was able to install the J2.5 RocketLauncher with no problems. But the 3.0 version still hangs at the "Creating database tables " step and then falls back to the Step 3 Overview page. Any ideas? Thanks

    • I had the same problem installing any joomla 3.0 on my localhost. but I Finally was able to solve it.
It is all about the apache server. it is the setting of max_execution_time the is set to 30 by default.
change it to be 90 and it will work. if your pc is old try more grater numbers.

      have fun

    • I am having the same problem but on a newer template galatea. Was there ever a concrete fix or diagnosis as to why this happens??
I have changed my php.ini file in /public_html to turn off output buffering and increase that max execution time but no luck.
It still says outputbuffering is on, and it also just reverts back to step 3. My webhost does not seem to allow me to restart apache however.
