Can't login to back end on two Quasar domains

I'm using the Quasar template on two seperate domains. The one install is 1.5, the other 2.5.
Suddenly both are rejecting my admin user name and password when I try and login to the back end. I'm completely stumped. it doesn't look like a hack or anything like that.
1.5 install: www.nelsonmakamo.com/home/
2.5 install artistproofstudio.co.za/home/
Neither site has had even a content update for a while.
I would be grateful for any ideas anyone could offer.
