Ordering Problems with Roksprocket Mosaic

Hello,
I've been working on a problem on how my site is displaying my K2 items in the page when using the Roksprocket Mosaic layout. At first I thought it was because I was using an older version of the component, but when I tried to update it, the component broke - and even installing it in a freshly loaded Joomla 3.2.3 it wouldn't work corrctly (even before adding any other extensions).
So I tried to see if I could figure what is happening, and I am completely at a loss.
The K2 items are all named alphabetically and they show correctly inside the Roksprocket module in the admin, but on the live page things are out of order. I've recreated this exact module about 20 times now (58 items with a lot of tags) and after spending over 10 hours on trying to find the reason behind it I thought I figure it was because the image sizes were different on a few items. So I resized the images, reconnected them with K2, re-linked all menu items to the pages, and it looked like it was working (at least at 3am this morning) but now they are all out of order again.
Can anyone let me know what I am doing wrong?

- Is the ordering set to 'manual'? Take a screen shot of your RS Module admin

- and what order do you want them in? "Automatic" should default to the K2 item ordering... On your K2 item manager page, have you tried adjusting the ordering there?

I created the k2 items in the order they should appear (alphabetical) and the id ordering is correct as well. the way they should display is alphabetical by title, and even when I try to set it to manual with a fallback rule of title, it's still way out of order. I have gone into k2 to make sure the ordering is set to alphabetical (it was) and I am still unable to get it to display the correct way.
