SOLVED Image 'pop' on slide change with roksprocket

  • SOLVED Image 'pop' on slide change with roksprocket

    • Hi all,

I ahve always had this problem with roksprocket so I assume I'm doing something wrong. When the image starts it's transition it starts small than the box, then 'pops' into the size of the module. On smaller screen sizes, this doesn't happen. I'm assuming it has something to do with image scaling, but I cant figure out how to fix it.

      Thanks!

    • What version of RokSprocket... what module type (layout) are you using...?

Is it in an RT Template? Which one?

      Got a link?

    • roksprocket 2.1.2 using the 'Features' layout in slideshow mode
using the gantry base template (latest version)

as far as the link, I can't get you one, it's not a live site.

Okay so your RokSprocket item image is 200px x 160px and that has to be scaled into a RokSprocket container that's 1180px x 780px AND you have a slow shared server. I'm guessing you've figured out already what's going to happen ;)

When the RokSprocket module is generated on the clients large device all the images are loaded in to help transition times when the page is fully loaded. So if you used image sizes that were close to the container size you wouldn't see that pop.
