Rockbridge - Forgot password not working in phpbb3

Server Details (Linux/Windows, Hosting service, etc) WIndows PHP version 5.4 Platform (name and version) joomla 3.3.1 and phpbb3 3.0.12 Template/Extension (name and version) Rokbridge Link to the Issue gamebanshee.com , gamebanshee.com/forums (bridge url between joomla and phpbb3), gamebanshee.com/phpbb3 (phpbb3 url)

We have Joomla 3.3.1 installed at our site. And phpbb3 3.0.12 (forum) installed in phpbb3 folder.
We are using Rockbridge component to sync login between joomla and phpbb3 forum.
Please see attached images for settings in Rockbridge component.
From forums when user use forgot password feature using bridge url (gamebanshee.com/forums), user is not able to change password. An email goes to user, but that password does not change.
Also, From admin of Phpbb3, When we open url directly for phpbb3 folder (gamebanshee.com/phpbb3), then we are able to change password of user.
But we are not able to change password, when we access from bridged url (gamebanshee.com/forums).
So, is it related to Rockbridge, that this plug-in is not allowing to change password of phpbb3 user.

It is indeed related to rokbridge, it has been made like that on purpose
You can change it easily, however, that may cause issues within the password table.
Why is that? Well, phpbb3 does not have a hook nor a trigger for updating the user password to joomla.
Joomla has that, when the password is updated in Joomla, it is updated in phpbb3.
The problematic issue is that when you enabling updating passwords in phpbb3 it will not update the password in joomla.
The current version of phppb3.012 will allow, only after a lot of hacks to create a hook. I have done some work on that, to see if and how it would be feasible.
At present tho, I would not suggest updating passwords in phpbb3, it is possible, but then the password tables from both applications will run out of sync. If you start updating passwords within phpbb3, you need to also update that same password in the joomla user table.
I hope that clarifies things a bit. Rokbridge has always functioned like this in the past. I am currently working hard on developing the new version for phpbb3.1, which is now at RC3. I am still planning on doing more work on the hook, but since I have only limited time available, I cannot do it all at the same time
