Edit frontpage and side content

Hi Guys,
I have read this tutorial 100 times: www.rockettheme.com/docs/joomla/template...er2/demo_module_1.md
And still Im not getting it. How do I edit the frontpage content, this is the page bit.ly/1tqEqQK I use Joomla 3.3.6
Do I need to add an article or a menu? Can somebody please help? I dont feel that the tutorial is explaining where to insert the code etc.

Your front page content is made up of modules and an article... Popular Features and Template Extras are in the article... everything else is a module...
The Front Page Showcase... the link your provided.... is simply a Custom HTML module that can be accessed from your Module Manager... it is named "Frontpage Showcase" - SEARCH the forum first! These boards are rich in knowledge and vast in topics. This includes searching just the 'Solved' forums, using Google, and using ChatGPT
