How to change the layout of an existing Roksprocket module
Posted 9 years 8 months ago
Roksprocket used to allow the changing of both layout & source in an existing module by simply clicking on two buttons in the backed. However, the current version seems to have done away with those options. Now, once you create a module you are apparently stuck with your original choice. In order to switch to a different layout, for example, you apparently need to create a whole new module, as the original buttons to select layout or source are no longer available.

Ah. Are there any plans that you know of to go back to the original feature? Depending on the module, one must often do a lot of input to display items. It can be really time-consuming to re-do all of the work just to see how a different layout looks!

as far as I know there are not as the RokSprocket module has so many layout options now there were issues with the old way of setting/switching the layout. Although you may be a good post in the Requests
forum. The Dev Team uses that forum for many of it's future development plans.

From the user standpoint it sure would be good to have back. One doesn't always know which layout is best without testing. To have to repopulate the list of items along with any customized text, etc. each time you change layout is pretty time consuming. Another alternative would be a preview of some sort, but obviously you'd need to still be able to change layout in the module.
