All the rocket theme templates I have setup take a long time to load. Examples of this is fevermusic.ca and grobertsonmusic.ca.
Anyone have advice?

Your site loads for me in 3 seconds - which I wouldn't consider to be that slow. But I do notice that you do not appear to be using a compressor (such as rokbooster)? The second site is slower 4.5 seconds.
Rokbooster has to be tuned to your particular environment and extensions - this is not something we can do for you as part of this support forum. I encourage you to read the rokbooster documentation to learn how to add exclusions and change the many other settings in rokbooster. Once tuned rokbooster will speed up your site so it's worth the effort.
Also do you have "conservative" caching enabled in global configuration? also gzip compression enabled?
