I'm currently using Vermillion template v1.3 and Gantry v4.1.30 with the latest RT extensions.. ie. RokGallery, RokSprocket, RokCandy, Rokbox, RokAjaxSearch, Rokpad etc.
I've checked the product updates page, but no mention of J!3.5 compatibility for RT extensions.
Can I safely update to 3.5 ?

Yes, we've updated everything we are aware of that had issues. But I would say the J3.5 is less than 48hrs old and I certainly will be leaving it a couple of weeks or more before updating my production sites. Especially since I have already see a few issue reported to Joomla (about Joomla 3.5) that are as yet unresolved.

I've no plans to update as yet - as you say, it's early days and best wait a while until any issues are sorted out. I'm assuming that once that happens, then there should be no problems using RT extensions with J3.5 ?

There should already be no problems with using RT extensions in J3.5 - we've updated everything that need updating and we are not aware of any issues with our extensions in J3.5. Many members have already updated and are using them without issue.
p.s. we will soon be updating the compatibility charts... it's just we haven't done it yet... but they are all compatible with J3.5
