    • I'm trying to convert a html to Joomla for a non-profit organization. They want the same layout off thier photo page, I cannot figure out how to do this. Any suggestion?
      Thier site is http://www.shamrockco-op.com/

      I'm using these,
      SolarSentinel
      Joomla 1.5.17
      Docman 1.5
    • PHP 5.1.3 - Apache 2.2.15 - MySQL 5.1.39 - Debian Lenny (5.0.4)
      Joomla 1.5.15 - RokBridge - 1.0rc14 - JomSocial Pro 2.2.1.0

    • Hi Don,

      there are lots of foto gallery components available at joomla extentions for instance joomlaworks or Phoca or...

      Another possibility if these are the only pictures they want to show is to place it into an article (pictures need to be in the image folder) or wrap the html page (in menu manager create a new item choose wrapper). This way you can keep the page and show it in the joomla site.

      Just try them out and see which fits best. Hope this helps, good luck.

    • Hi guys,

      Thanks for your suggestions. I did look at the joomla extensions before posting here. Phoca did catch my eye along with a couple others.
      jvdberg, your suggestion seems to be what I'm after but just can't get it to work, pictures are in the image folder, just can't get it to work, I must be doing something wrong just don't know what.

    • Hi Don,

      after you have installed the phoca component in the phoca component:
      - under the phoca categories tab create a category
      - under phoca images tab, add pictures with new or add multiple
      - once uploaded the pic's, select a the category, select the pic's in "add multiple images" and save.
      - to see the foto gallery in the front-end create a new menu item, select phoca and choose "Phoca Gallery Category Layout", select the category and save.
      - you now have a gallery under a menu link.

      If you want to make a slideshow inside an article you have to download the plugin, install it, enable it and insert the bracket code into a article.
      Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin - displays slideshow of images from selected Phoca Gallery category
      {pgslideshow id=...|width=...|height=...|delay=...|image=...|pgslink=...}
      Image: O - original, L - large, M - medium, S - small
      Example:
      {pgslideshow id=1|width=100|height=100|delay=3000|image=M}
      More information on www.phoca.cz

      Hope this helps, good luck!

    • Hi jvdberg,

      I tried Phoco, but its not the right one. I did find another gallery though, Very Simple Image Gallery, which looks like the one thats closer to what I want.
