    Forum Usage

Posted 18 years 3 weeks ago
    • I have noticed that loads of logged in users havn't posted
So I thought of an idea
Why not put for new users something like great Joomla Support
Then people might sign up for help not just one template
And everyone knows that the forum is there
Might help more users to join in with the forum!

(Hope that makes sense! 8) )

    • Basically...

say something at signup like great Joomla forum or something
coz I think that this forum is a great asset
and should be used to advertise
infact, there could be a plan for just support no templates :P

      No what I mean now?

    • I believe I understand your proposal. It was confusing at first. You stated this "advert" to new users but that seems pretty inefficient if they have already registered and become members, witnessing the support, first hand. From your second post, I got the idea that it would be on the SignUps page, where all the membership information is.

Its an interesting idea but I do not know of the legal complications of saying that, what, for some instances, all support stopped and you were advertising, the best template club support forum in the World. Not that the support will ever stop.

I would like to see some more 'advertisments' for the support offered at Rocket Theme

    • Basically, just get more of the registered users using the forum would be great
There seems to be loads with 0 posts
Thats why I thought advertise it a little

      ;D

    • You cannot force people to post and most will use the Template Club as it was intended; to purchase, download and utlise the Rocket templates.

Is there a real urge to get people posting, as much as the forum is a community, it is still, in its core, an answer and questions boards and nothing more.

    • You keep bouncing between 0 Posting Users and Support Forum advertisement. It confuses me :D

I do believe it should be slot in somewhere -"10 Times faster than Joomlart" :)

    • IMO I think most members use the forum. It's just that they don't want, or have the time to help others. I see posts now and then where people say things like "Thanks heaps everyone, i've been a member for two years and i've learnt a lot from this forum" or "I couldn't have done it without your help"... and if you look at their numbers, they have 3 posts.

They learn a lot but few pass on their knowledge to NEW noobs.

That's fine..as long as we have a dedicated people with big hearts who keep giving back, the forum will continue to be a source of learning and inspiration come 1.5, 2.0, and beyond...

that said... hmmmm ... how long has it been since I visited the lower half of this forum to provide some answers. :-[
