    Drop Down Menus

Posted 18 years 3 weeks ago
    • In digitalether (in my opinion) there is a much better menu than the drop down system in Colormatic
Is there a particular reason the drop down from digitalether isn't used anymore, or do people just prefer the newer drop downs?

    • DigitalEther uses Transmenu whereas Colormatics utilises Suckerfish. Transmenu, with being pure javascript, can cause lots of problems and conflicts within a site. It is best not to use it to allow for a more diverse compatibility for all members.

I personally love the Transmenu but Suckerfish suits me fine. However, there is a new 'off-spring' of the 2, superfish which may be a much better option in future templates. It still has the sliding effects of Transmenu but lesser conflicts, GollumX posted a thread about it.

    • Use the advanced search feature and search for super with *GollumX* in Requests for a starter.

I hate it as I know which template it is using, the most eviliest of all templates!

I love their graphics for the logo and Fireboard in particular, apart from that, its pretty bland
