    Social network, Forum and site membership all in one log in?

    • Hello,

      During planning for my new project, I came to this question that: Is it possible to manage the registration of members in a way that, by logging in, they log in automatically in forum (phpBB3) and the social newtorking (CB or JoomSocial)?
      Then my next question is: how much this can be managed in details?

      My eLearning website will provide service for different programs, each program's students should have access to the social network of the e-college but only have access to the forum that's related to the program that he or she enrolled in.

      If you use the PHPBB extension that RT offer then i don't see a issue with all three working.

      JomSocial uses the Joomla Auth login.

    • Thank you very much for your prompt reply Alex!!! That was soooo fast!

      The reason I asked this question is, with phpBB3 and joomla integration, I red a relatively long HOW TO DO instruction. I thought that if the same thing is needed for JoomSocial as well, then maybe the three wont work the way I expected them to do.
      I want to be sure about the smooth functionality between these three. Do you know any website that uses the three at the same time? I want to take a look and be sure before paying for JoomSocial.

    • Don't forget the all-important Facebook Connect option for logins! I know that JomSocial has this out of the box, but I'm not sure about the phpBB portion of your site...
