Dynamic Menu Image??

I would like to use the Menu Item > Parameters (Template theme - gantry-fusion) > Menu Image
It appears that by default the only images that can be used are from /templates/rt_zephyr_j15/images/icons
1. Is there a way to change this to pull images from another directory such as /images?
2. Is there any way to make an option to have the Menu Image be pulled from the Selected Article/Item? That way I only have to upload/edit one image for the article and the menu item image.
