- I was wondering if you are able to sell gift certificates with the magento templates. Is there a way to set up reocurring billing for membership say through paypal using this template? I understand it is not joomla, I currently sell memberships to a gym online that would need reocurring monthly and yearly memberships. We also sell tshirts and other merchandise. I would just set up another domain to host the magento and have it link from the main site to the magento. Thanks for any help.

Gift cards are possible with Magento. You can do this naively or install a more advanced extension.
For reoccurring billing you would need a extension such as this one here: ecommerce.aheadworks.com/magento-extensi...urring-payments.html
I've used this extension before and while it is indeed powerful, it can be a bit of a challenge to set up. Most of Magento can be like that however.
None of these are template dependent other than what version you choose to install.
