Reinstalling a template

  • Reinstalling a template

    • When I was copying my site from the test folder to the root folder, something happened during the copy where the template folder was copied but no css files. There was also nothing left in the original folder. I think it might have been "hasty operator error". The website works but not with the template. I uploading the template again, but it won't upload even after uninstalling the old one. Do I only get to upload and install a template ONE TIME?

Nope, there is no such limit here.

Are you installing the template the normal way inside the Joomla admin?

Use Akeeba Backup when moving sites. 8)

    • I thought I posted a reply but don't see it.

I uploaded and installed one of the free templates, but Moxy will not install. I install the normal way through the Joomla admin. It says it is installing, but then rather than getting the usual "successful install" message, it just goes back to the Joomla admin page.

The site seems to work OK (most things) www.maumelleplayers.org but the template I built it in is not installing again. Any other files I need to delete before reinstalling? I really don't want to start from scratch.
