    • Hi
First, exuse for my bad english, but I must ask you about this.
I now see that joomla will relase new LTS versjons every eighteen mounths with support only 21 mounths for each.

What about rockettheme and joomla templates...will you work with the templates so they fit with the new joomla versjons each 18 mounths ?

I hope you can answer this, and if you dont now just say it

      Best regards
      Vidar Meyer

    • I will in few days start building multiple sites and I must decide where I should buy templates. Since I use joomla and they now use shorter intervalls between versions, I must ask rockettheme and others if they will at least try to make some of the templates compatible with each new LTS realese from joomla ( every 18 mounths ) You must havs some idees about that and I now ask for the second time

a yes we will try to make many of the templates compatible with each LTS joomla realese
      b yes, for some templates
      c No, we probely dont
d We cant answeer this now

      ?????????????

    • Some people say rockettheme have very good templates, but that support really sucks. I must bee agree on that now. How hard is it to get a reply on the easiest questions who take only seconds to answer. But often you dont get any reply at all, not even sorry we cant answer that for now

Well I have courses in building sites with joomla and I have hundreds students each year. I thought about use rockettheme templates for this, meaning that every students get joomlaclub for one year. No I must say that I have changed my mind about that...I would rather have templates with good support than just nice looking templates with no support

    • Hi vidar,
that is not an easy question for us. Frankly I can't answer that myself.
Let me talk with the dev team and Andy about this. I will report back shortly.

    • To be honest the new joomla release cycle is still bit of an unknown. In the past the policy has been to support the current version and also previous version for a year or so until the vast majority of people have moved to the newer version.

Now according to the joomla team version 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 should for the most part be a simple process for maintaing compatibility. So we hope that the effort we are putting into to the complicated job of converting to 1.6 will mean these same versions will continue to work with 1.7 and 1.8

I expect/hope well continue to have our 1.5 versions for some time (at least through the official 1.5 support date) as well as our new 1.6++ versions that should be good for the next few joomla releases.
