- Maybe this is covered somewhere else...just wondering if any one knows the status of the Joomla 1.6 version of rocket launcher installers for templates?

Hi Christopher,
The main reason is that the dev-team didn't have a good way to make the demo content
as there is no official migration script and setting it all up manually is not an option.
however, lately there is a 3rd party script that is starting to come together.
Still that has enough issues that require a lot of time for fixing it. Just takes too much extra time also there are so many bugs in 1.6 that every release means quite a bit of rework.
So we have to wait a bit longer for that. The team is focusing on just pushing important stuff (templates+extensions) out. The demo stuff is not intended to be used for real websites anyway.

The demo stuff is not intended to be used for real websites anyway.But, of course, the demo stuff is hugely useful in training one in how the template can be used. Until there is a launcher for 1.6 templates, I don't think we'll even consider them.
And, we can use the unavailability of the 1.6 launchers as a general indicator as to how stable Joomla 1.6 and your 1.6 templates are. After all, if it's too much work for you, then it is certainly too much work for us! If you have any idea when you'll have launchers for 1.6 templates, please let us know. - Steve Amerige,
