Customize Background??

Hello,
This should hopefully be the last help request... lol
I was wondering how I can change the background to a picture that I want. I uploaded the picture file into the FTP server, and then I added
".background-img-mis #rt-page-background {background: url(../images/backgrounds/img-mis.jpg) 50% 0 no-repeat;}"
to the "overlays.css" file. However, I'm not sure what to do next. I've tried changing the background through the "template.css" file too. I changed the "#rt-page-background" to "#rt-page-background .background-img-mis #rt-page-background {background: url(../images/backgrounds/img-mis.jpg) 50% 0 no-repeat;}" in the template.css file, but still nothing happens.
The same thing happens with my logo that I uploaded through the FTP server. I changed the information in the "overlays.css" file, but still nothing shows up
Help!
EDIT: If needed, I can PM a moderator with the admin username and password.

If I may ask, am I not getting an answer because I didn't include more information on the issue/template, or is everybody busy? Honest question.

Try to add
div#rt-page-background {background: url(../images/backgrounds/img-mis.jpg) no-repeat center 0 !important;}
to your template.css and clear your cache to see the change ...
Logo seems to be OK now?
