Currently for the J.1.6 there are no Rocket Launchers with sample data.

An important thing to note, is that at this time we do NOT plan on creating Joomla 1.6 RocketLauncher packages. Our plan is to wait until there are solid content migration tools as well as the resolution of some major Joomla 1.6 bugs. - Thanks,

Not sure what your problem is gigi.
When you downloaded Joomla 1.6 from Joomla.org and install it with sample-data and and you install the RT-template-bundle of your choice after that you will not see so much of the sample data because the default template has different module positions than our Gantry templates.
For example there is no left or right position in Gantry.
So you have to adjust that in the module manager ...
