Removing Front Page Articles?

I'm looking to get rid of articles from my front page, and I found scripting changes to the index.php that work for Joomla Templates (links below), but it doesn't appear to work for Rocket Theme. Does anyone know what scriting would be needed to do so with Rocket Theme Templates (Free, or Club)

I'm using Nebulae for this particular site. Sorry for the delayed response
I saw that you could remove the front page, but I don't know how to remove articles from the front page, or any page for that matter. The links in the original post have the scripting to remove articles from the basic Joomla! templates, but I couldn't find any similar script in the Rockettheme CSS
