I know Quantive already approaches this, but I'd want even simpler. Basically I want just a blank page, with a horizontal menu at the top, with the search in that same bar.
And then modules to be simple boxes in a light grey colour.
I'm even willing to give a go at putting this template together myself if its not too hard!
Thanks. I've started using the default Gantry template.
Its hard going to get what I want, but I guess I'll get there. Its a pity that its not easy to get CSS from other RT templates and paste it.
I wanted to basically have a menu with rounded corners (a bit like apple.com) and some basic module 'boxes' similar to the ones in Quantive.
I was hoping to copy/paste the CSS for the module boxes from Quantive into the default Gantry template, but each class is very interdependent on other classes elsewhere in the CSS files, so I just end up lost.
I'm trying that, but I'm a bit (a lot) useless with CSS. I tend to only use existing CSS and modify stuff like the colours, but I am a bit lost as to how I'd alter the default gantry CSS, which has no background spanning the whole menu, to have the background I made in a paint program (a rectangle with rounded corners saved as a png.
Frankly I cant even find where the width of the menu is set so I can make my background image the right size :/
I find it a LOT easier to work with what's already there rather than plugging stuff in. My approach would be to start with Quantive if that's the one that's catching your eye and then strip things out or adjust them as needed.
