please help! several questions

  • please help! several questions

Posted 13 years 11 months ago
    • Hello there,
I'm using the "Moxy" template and have several things I can't figure out - probably it's very simply but it's my first site alone and I'm still such a dummy %)

      1) I would like to mix articles and RokFeatureTable on one page but I can't get them to appear in the order I want which is: 1st article/1st module, 2nd article/2nd module,.... and so on. I can only move the modules on top or bottom of the articles but the articles will still stay all together???

      2) In the demo the footer has 4 columns and little vertical lines to divide them. How do I get that?

      3) The demo on the first/"home" page has a module with 6 "arrows" and text next to them. What module is that?

Guys I'd be very happy if someone could help me! Thanks!!!!!!!

    • Hi,

Congratulations on making your first post in the Rockettheme.com Forum :cheesy:

      1) You can use the load position plugin to palce the module contents into and article and then use the category blog layout to get then articles to display in particular order.
      more info here: docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F

      2) in the Rockettheme forums for each template there is also a corresponding tutorials and guides section. for Moxy it is here: www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=243&rb_v=viewforum

      3) Please post a new topic for this. When posting threads it is important to use a very descriptive but concise (short and to the point) subject. This will allow you to get the best help from the most qualified person in the fastest time. Also, having several issues can muddy the waters a bit for those searching the forum for answers to their issues.

    • THANKS for the tips!!! so happy that someone actually takes the time to answer :)

I got the 1st point and found a lot of tips for the 2nd. They all need to change something in "index.php" or "body-dark.css". I find these kind of files over "ninja explorer" but it doesn't allow me to change stuff. The "save" button simply doesn't work. Would you know: Do I have to enable some kind of permission first, or is there another way to get to these files?
      I have jommla 1.5

    • OK for the Moxy footer you are seeing on the front page that is actually one single custom html module using some RokCandy macros. to match that just use the following. Tough I suspect this is not how you were wanting to do this.
      <p>[footer title="Disclaimer"]</p>
<p>This site is for <strong>demo</strong> purposes only and uses <strong>sample</strong> content. Images are copyright of their respective owners.</p>
      <p>[/footer] [footer-divider][/footer-divider] [footer title="Ready to get started?"]</p>
<p>Fill out our <strong>Request</strong> for Proposal form and to us about your project</p>
      <p>[readon1 url="#"]Submit[/readon1][/footer] [footer-divider][/footer-divider] [footer title="Sign up for our newsletter"]</p>
<p><strong>Get the latest</strong> news and events by subscribing up for our newsletter</p>
      <p>[readon1 url="#"]Subscribe[/readon1][/footer] [footer-divider][/footer-divider] [footer title="Contact Information"][list class=special-13][li]<span>+44 (0) 01 011 012</span>[/li] [li]<span>support@euro.corporation.com</span>[/li] [li]<a href="#" style="font-weight: normal;"><span>www.corporation.com</span></a>[/li] [/list][/footer] [clear][/clear]</p>
the above needs to be entered in html mode (toggle the editor off)
