I am sure this answer is somewhere in the forum and i apologize for my laziness but i am short on time. I recently signed up for RocketTheme membership. I am tempted to use the RocketLauncher Installation method. I believe this will help me deploy a site in a short time. I was curious to know if using a RocketLauncher installation with the demo content has a negative effect as far as SEO or SEF is concerned. I know this might sound as an ignorant and dumb question, but i am not a developer and i am merely a small business owner who would like more control over his website and have taken the time out to learn the basics of Joomla!! Any help will be appreciated!
Hi, my 2 cents: The Rocket Launcher technically won't have any negative effects on SEO. SEO success primarily depends on content, so you'll obviously want to update all of the content to your own as soon as possible.
An exception would be if you're replacing an existing site with a Rocket Launcher, this would cause all of your links and content to change - I wouldn't recommend doing that. Rocket Launchers are designed for new installs. If you have an existing site, just use the template or set up a local server and get all of your content and links straight before you put it up. Hope that helps.

Thank You for your reply. I currently dont have any content or exisitng site in place. This is a new site from scratch. I figured i can use the Sample Content as a starting point to help me organize my own content etc. etc.!
Cool, that's what Rocket Launchers are for and it's a great place to start.
In reality, search engines won't pay much attention to new sites for the first 3 to 6 months anyway, this prevents spammers and other nefarious types from hijacking search engine results with new websites. SEO is about building solid content over time and moving up the ladder as your site grows so you should be fine.
