I'm working on this site
66.84.11.107/~leaprate
using Joomla 1.6 and RocketTheme's Modulus template.
I need to add another nav bar button called Forex Classifieds.
And it needs to go to a directory with about 40-50 entries that will be organized into about 10 categories.
Is there a RokExtension that I could use? RokTabs seems like the closest thing, but not exactly what I need.
If not, is K2 my best option? I think I just read in the forum that I can't use K2 with Joomla 1.6
What about Sobi2?
Any ideas of the best way to create a small directory that will work well with a RocketTheme template would be very much appreciated!
Best,
Lisa

Will you be using a 3rd party package outside of Joomla? I vaguely recall a member having problems with Forex Trading clashing with the various scripts and causing all sorts of problems.
If you are just looking for an extension then I would personally avoid Joomla 1.6 as this has an extremely short life span as 1.7 becomes available later this year. This then gives you a selection of proven directory style extensions for 1.5 - including SOBI2 and many others.
Hope this helps

First, I think I have to use Joomla 1.6 for now and then update to 1.7 later in the year as the client needs the site now.
Secondly, I'm open to any solution that gives me a directory of 40-50 entries separated into 10 categories. Ideally I'd love to be able to use a RocketTheme extension or a Joomla module or Joomla menu as this seems simpler than a 3rd party extension. I'm just looking for suggestions for the ideal way to set up this small online directory in my Joomla 1.6 Modulus Templated site.
Hi Lisa,
I have tinkered with SOBI2 and Mosets Tree, and in my opinion, Mosets is well worth the money (119.00 or so) for a clean, very easy to use directory component. The JED is built on it, so it can't be all that bad...
If I remember correctly, Sobi was free and had some cool features and add ons, but required a bunch of work and messing with templates and files to get it dialed in. In the end, I wasn't happy with the results and scrapped it anyway. Go with Mosets, you won't be disappointed.
