    • Hi,

      I write this note because already talked with MidPhase, our internet hosting service. They they´ve checked and everything is correct on their end. After searching on joomla forums and everywhere without luck, thought you guys may help us with this.
      The Joomla version is 1.5.23 Stable

      The problem is:
      The site has been working GREAT from a year or so, but from a week ago, without changing any setting on the site or adding new modules , we´ve been experiencing @ 40 secs. delay before our site beguins to load the front page or any page inside the website. After that delay time, the clicked page loads normally.

      Accessing the administrator pages goes fast, no problem with that. Streaming anything goes really fast too.

      Additionally, the FP rockstories module doesn´t show anything. We disabled it to look for the delay problem but seems its not related.

      Stuck with clients wanting to browse our site and we don´t know how to fix this.

      Note: Already tried restoring older backups before going back to latest version, but no luck.

    • Just taking a wild shot here.
      My activity window says "favicon.ico not found."
      When the page loads, it displays the browser's default favicon -- not even the default Joomla favicon.

      Could you have a favicon file that has become damaged or corrupted?

      I coud be way off.

      Thanks for the note!. Did a research and replaced the "favicon.ico" at places where they should be, but nothing changes...
      ¿Wich software are you using for reading this message, please?

      The thing is that the actual access to the server is very fast, less than a second, then waits @45segs before starting loading the page and then loads it as fast as usual..

      I'm on a Mac using Safari. I checked it with Firefox as well.

      What are your cache settings? Are you using a cache? If so, have you cleared it to see if that helps?

    • Somehow, Joomla was corruted and even older backups didn´t work.
      I´ve been all day replicating the site, and all is ok now.
