Hi. Wish there was an easy answer. VM uses it's own style sheets / templates. The best you can do is find a VM template that is close to what you want or dig into the CSS files. The Mynxx template has a built in VM template, I've used that on other templates but it takes some work to integrate. Good luck.

Can I add the RokStories mod to Mercado??? The client REALLY wants a feature area of flashing pics (she preferred the one on Mynxx)... the Mercado layout doesnt seem to cater to that.

You can add RokStories, you just have to keep the sidebar in there or put it in a position above or below the main body. That's the only thing with Mercado, the structure is a bit different than the other templates, but it's designed for eCommerce out of the box. Definitely check out the Ecwid stores, it's a different approach and has some cool features.
I just suggest you look at all your options. I know from experience that Virtuemart can be a beast, not only to style, but to work with in general. Be ready to spend hours upon hours of time with it if you choose to use it.

LAST QUESTION.....
Any suggestion on how I can keep my current site using the Nebulae template, and add some cart that does allow categories? In other words, any suggestions on an extention for this store. ITts not super mega store, just needs categories and PayPal capability.
