  • Server files deleted, then restored, RT Templates dont work.

    • Hello

      Last week I got hacked and they deleted all of my files off of my hosting server. Luckily I had a backup from a week prior (still have to redo a few things but nothing like redoing everything). After restoring the the files all of my sites are working fine except one ( www.indianheadvalley.com ). When I switch to one of the standard joomla templates that comes with joomla it shows up. When I try to use any of the RT templates it is just a blank page.

      I am sure there is more information that you need to have a shot at helping so fire away.

    • Hello,

      I would suggest to download the latest version of the template, and FTP it over your restore.

      Then if you made custom changes to it, you can restore the template file back over it. But normally I have had in the past where one file didn't FTP or back up correctly and it has acted like this.

    • I downloaded the latest template file extracted it and ftp it over the current template file and nothing has changed. Any other thoughts??

    • Tried deleting the panacea template folder and sending a clean copy in and still no good. I was trying to use Panacea.

      Heres a new twist... I have started rebuilding the site in a subfolder of Indianhead Valley. Installed the newest template reflex and with the sample data with no back end editing the site works. Changed a couple menu items and added some articles.... GONE! Just a white page exactly like the original site. The address for the new build is www.indianheadvalley.com/new

      That may give you an idea where to look...maybe?!

      Am I screwing something up? I have been using Joomla and RT for sometime now and have never had a problem....

    • Ok, Looks like the hack may possibly be lingering, but hard to tell.

      #1 if you have a backup of the database you will want to access it via phpMyAdmin and drop all the tables and restore an older backup. and try again.

      Note: "if you have been hacked, you may want to ask your host for instructions on how to empty or reset the root directory... some files or folders are places there like cgi-bin or .htaccess, which you will need (in most cases) to get your site to work, but what else hosts place in the root is really case by case. "
