Templates not installing

Hi all,
Just installed 1.6 and Im getting used to it. When I go to install a new RT template, after I click Upload and Install it immediately says "Installing plugin was successful". When I check to see if the template was installed, it wasnt. I have tried multiple templates, all of which are 1.6 compatible. I did not get this while installing Afterburner. Afterburner is the only template from RT that I have successfuly installed. All others wont.
Has anyone experienced this?
