Hi there,
I manage a joomla web site for a non-profit soccer league. ayso-santabarbara.org
The other day someone somehow deleted the entire site, strange... hackers attacking a kid's soccer site?!!
In any event the host was able to restore a back up of the site and it looks okay. I have access to the cpanel and can upload and download files. However..... my joomla admin login does not work anymore. Is there a way I can download a folder where the passwords are stored on the server and update them? I built this site using Akiraka Essentials for Joomla 1.5
Also in the future how can I make this site more secure? I have updated ftp and cpanel passwords and will update the joomla passwords as well (even though I did that a couple of months ago). Thank you for any advice!

The passwords are encrypted and in the database. Try this:
