  • HELP! Can't get the ARTIO JoomSEF turned on

    • I just installed the ARTIO JoomSEF and configured all of the URLs.... but I can't seem to get it turned on.

      I'm still seeing the long non-SEO standard Joomla URLs in the address bar.

      Is there a trick?

    • Did you turn it on in your global configuration? (from joomlas admin backend)
      Rename/ and configure your .htaccess file? (these settings depend upon what your server/hosting setup is)

      Top two reasons for it not working above.

      Are you on an apache server with mod_rewrite enabled?

      Sorry to answer your question with a few questions... I'll be back in about 7 or 8 hours and check up on this post, sadly I am on my way out the door......

    • I installed the ARTIO JoomSEF Component for more control over my SEO URLs....

      After installing, I had to "Turn off" the Global SEO URLs in the standard Joomla backend.

      If I had the Global SEO URLs turned on in the backend for Global Options, my URLs don't work.

      I have a feeling I have to add something to the .htaccess file to get ARTIO JoomSEF to work - but I'm bad with this kind of stuff.

      Could someone please help guide me :-)
