RokNavMenu Issue Joomla 2.5

  • RokNavMenu Issue Joomla 2.5

    Posted 13 years 3 months ago
    • Hi,

      Last night I upgraded to the latest versions of Gantry, RokNavMenu, RokTab
      then
      upgraded Joomla from 1.7.3 to 2.5.0

      Now all my drop down menus in omnicron go behind all my articles (or anything below). It was all working before the upgrade. Any Ideas?

      Also my flash content doesn't work in RokTabs

      Thanks

    • After further testing, if I swap the template to Modulus the menu dropdowns apear over the articles correctly. Could it be an Omnicron specific issue?

    • I have found a solution, I'm a little worried it's a dirty workaround rather than solving the actual issue but...

      I changed the Z level of the Menu in the 'fusionmenu.css' and that fixed it

      /* Menu Z level FIX */
      #rt-header .menutop {
      z-index: 1000;
      }

    • Same here my friend, when menu is placed in any header position the menu items fall behind showcase items...gonna try and see if your solution works but I hope we can get an official fix. I am using Modulus so it is there as well :-(

    • hi there,

      can you check the template settings to make sure the menu is set to 'navigation' position and not to header for example?

      thanks, kat :)

    • The z-index worked for me as a temp fix. Modulus does not have a navigation position so I cannot try that one :-(

    • same problem here. Modulus has no navigation position. In fact the menu bar completely disappears if put in the drawer position

    • hi again,

      which browsers are you using and which version of php?

      i tested modulus fusionmenu in header-b position and it works fine for me using php 5.2.17 and firefox9 on mac, see attachment with articles not being covered. also tested with a showcase module (rokstories) and the dropdown was fine.

      this might be a very specific issue, so any info and links you can give us will be helpful.
      also make sure that any cache and compression on your sites is switched off so this can be debugged properly.

      thanks, kat :)

      heya,

      ok, now i tested omnicron as well and i can replicate the issue there.

      when i disable the 'load more articles' in the template features, then it works fine though, can you try that to see what happens on your site?

      thanks, kat :)
