    Support Terribly Lacking

Posted 13 years 3 months ago
    • Am I the only one that is having an absolutely horrible time trying to get help from the Support Staff? I have posted, sent pm's, tried everything I'm supposed to and STILL have not gotten the problem fixed. I do not know where to turn-- I have gone from highly recommending RocketTheme to sheer frustration. Does anyone have any suggestions other than finding another group to deal with?

    • Well, from this post, we don't know what the problem is...

A: In particular, what posts are you referring to? You can link them here so we don't have to search (at this point) all 68 of your posts.

B: Are your issues template or Joomla related? Template related posts posted in the proper forum with the proper information usually get answered faster than general Joomla inquiries, which are usually answered as a courtesy.

C: PMing Mods unless asked to do so will usually not speed your response, as support is forum based.
    • Thanks,

    • A. www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=27...51927&rb_v=viewtopic - and www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=27...52797&rb_v=viewtopic Started seeking help in mid-December when I was doing the "final" check to replace the 1.5 with the new 1.7 (now 2.5).
      B. Definitely template related.
      C. When e-mail support@RocketTheme (when frustration was setting in due to lack of help)--was responded to and I gave the requested info; someone went on the site 1/20 and never returned (those contacts are in e-mail and a pm since the individual did not post on forum but was from RT.
      D. Sadly, I suspect that since this is an old template that was upgraded by RT, perhaps these errors (I believe 2 but could be one/related issues) cannot be repaired but you would think someone would at least let me know status. I am just a step above a novice so my knowledge is very limited.
      E. I tried to find someone in the states (I'm in PA) to discuss difficulties via phone but learned that just isn't done.
After spending hours upgrading from 1.5 to 1.7, I really don't relish the idea of having to make the changes nssy on a new template. I started with one last evening, but the infuse is the best template I've found for this site and I'm still hopeful someone can assist.

      1. Mission Control is a free product that is only covered by Andy himself. It is not part of the forum access you paid for. If there is no update right now and it does not work don't use it.

      2. & 3. Did ever tried to check your site with the w3c validator? No?
well so I tell you now that it is the first thing you should do when you have an issue.
Just call it the James S!-rule of thumb: always look at validation first!
      validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2F...ctype=Inline&group=0
Probably you need to adjust the html code or text length in RNP ...

I don't see any mistake my articles. So I don't know what I do now. I see my all articles with RokPad Editor and everything fine.
