hi all,
I need to know how to exclude the mainbody from my website and keep it module based.
i'm using joomla 2.5

Set "display mainbody" to "off".
Menu-item-type to "featured" ... last two templates have a little bug.
Check this if you are using Calrion or Inonosphere ...

thanks for the prompt response, i did as you advised however the modules in the sidebar position are also gone now?

yes ... that is how that works, the sidebars are included in main body.
you may want to try "display component" feature instead.
But I can't really see that it makes sense to just have sidebars in the mainbody.

We reverted it back to the original state so u can have a look. The reason i need sidebar is the additional pages menu on the left. IS there any way to keep sidebar active with disabling the main body. Main boy in the site is the copyright under the "who are we".

body.menu-features div.component-block { display: none; }
body.menu-features #rt-main div#rt-content-top { border-bottom-style: none;}
Would that work and for us to be able to keep the sidebars?

im not sure i understand what you mean?
all i want is the mainbody removed (excl sidebar). is it possible to put "who are cape rental solutions in the mainbody - if mainbody cannot be removed with keeping sidebar.
if "who are cape rental solutions" is put in mainbody can it have the heading with the line under it?
I would still prefer to just remove mainbody on its own.
