K2 conflict with RT template

  • K2 conflict with RT template

    • I've got my joomla site running 1.7 and another instance on 2.5

      When K2 is installed and content imported from joomla it conflicts with my ecwid store and displays no visible content in the blog layout.

      the content is there as I cut and pasted it to test, but it is all invisible

      I have tried in vein and searched forums for an answer.

      any help appreciated.

    • K2 and some of the gantry framework's CSS can conflict a little.
      The chances are, the text is picking up a template/gantry text colour style and applying it.
      Should be an easy fix.
      A link to the offending page is all that we need to be able to find the CSS involved and to post something back that will fix it :)

    • 1. disable css compression (RokGZipper-plugin/Gantry/Gzippe)
      2. disable load-transition feature
      3. disable build title spans-feature

      Is there any way of using K2 without disabling Load-transition????

      I am using Ionosphere and trying to use K2 but site blanks out if I dont disable load-transition

    • in most cases it's the RokGZipper-plugin/GantryGzipper that is causing the issues.
      but I can ask the developers to take a look. afaik Clarion is using K2 + load transition without issues.

      So can RokGZipper and K2 run together or do they both have a similar buildin function that conflicks with each other?

    • you can exclude the menu js files from being compressed by rokgzipper through the setting in the rokgzipper plugin parameters.

      I would just avoid zipping K2 stuff.
