new gantry for an old template ?

Hello
I have a Joomla 1.5.25-site with the refraction template (june 2009)
At that time tehre wasn't even Gantry for the template management (I presume)
When I make a new site (migrating) in Joomla 2.5 with the new 2.5 version of the refraction-template, wil there be then Gatry support for the template?
Or should I better choose a more recvent template?

If you want to use Gantry then you will have to choose a more recent template.

Hello
And when I use a template like Crystalline (april 2010) - which I have in another site, and others in some more sites - that had a Gantry support, can I use that template with the new Gantry vesion in Joomla 2.5?

Hi Eric,
Most of the templates have been converted for Joomla 2.5. Some of them already have RocketLauncher versions and others are still being built into Rocketlaunchers.

Hello David
I've seen the compability chart befoe.
Do I understadn it well: when there"s a rocketlauncher for the template, it means it will work with the latest Gantry-version for Jooma 2.5?
When there's only a 2.5 template-version, it will be without gantry support??
Or what?
For example: I've got a panacea template with gantry 3.1.19
When I install Joomla 2.5, and brnging in the Panacea 2.5 template, will it be supported by a Gantry version? Or totaly not?

Hello Eric,
Let me try and explain more clearly. If a Gantry based template (Dominion onwards) was available for Joomla 1.5 then it will also be made available for Joomla 2.5 and will work with Gantry.
RocketLauncher is a copy of the demo site with blank images (copyright issues) so people can set up a site in the same layout as the demo. It makes it easier to see how we achieved various elements in the site.
So Gantry and RocketLauncher are not dependent on each other.

I installed Joomla 2.5.3 and wanted then insalling Crystllaine template, bundle (wuth Gantry)
Failed
Then took clarion template bundle; insaalation without a problem.
THen I thouhgt, now I just install the Crystllaline template no bundle ( becuase Gantry was already installed with the clarion template): installation failed again.
??
